Náš projekt Erasmus+ o židovskej histórii a kultúre pokračoval posledným stretnutím v tomto školskom roku. Od 1. mája do 6. mája 2023 sme spolu s nemeckou školou zo Saalfeldu navštívili našich projektových partnerov z Klaipėdos Hermano Zudermano gimnazija v meste Klaipéda v Litve.
Na stretnutí sme sa veľa dozvedeli o histórii židovského osídlenia v Litve, ktoré siaha do 14. storočia. Krajina sa v priebehu ďalších storočí stala dôležitým strediskom židovskej komunity a pred začiatkom druhej svetovej tu žilo 154 00 Židov.
Krajina si prešla sovietskou a nemeckou okupáciou, čo zásadne ovplyvnilo priebeh genocídy židovských obyvateľov v tejto oblasti. Prejavy antisemitizmu mali väčšinou ekonomický podtext.
V programe nášho projektového stretnutia nechýbali exkurzie do miest Kretinga, Darbėnai a Palanga, ktoré sú späté so židovskou históriou. V meste Klaipéda sme navštívili Haus der Juden a tragické osudy nám pripomínali Stolpersteine — kamene zmiznutých a pamätné tabule.
Projekty Erasmus+ otvárajú nové pohľady, vytvárajú nezabudnuteľné priateľstvá, zážitky a skúsenosti a zlepšujú jazykové zručnosti.
Erasmus+ project meeting in Lithuania
Our Erasmus+ project on Jewish history and culture continued with the last meeting of this school year. From 1 to 6 May 2023, students and teachers from our school and the German school in Saalfeld visited our project partners from Klaipėdos Hermano Zudermano gimnazija in the city of Klaipėda in Lithuania.
During the meeting, we learnt a lot about the history of the Jewish settlement in Lithuania, which dates back to the 14th century. Over the following centuries, the country became an important centre of the Jewish community, and before the beginning of the Second World War, 154,000 Jews lived here.
The country went through Soviet and German occupation, which fundamentally influenced the course of the genocide of the Jewish population in this area. Manifestations of anti-Semitism mostly had an economic undertone.
The programme of our project meeting included excursions to the cities of Kretinga, Darbėnai and Palanga, which are linked with Jewish history. In the city of Klaipėda, we visited the Haus der Juden and the Stolpersteine—stones of the disappeared—and memorial plaques reminded us of the tragic fates.
